Yasumasa Tamura is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing, Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) since 2017. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 2015 at Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Hokkaido University in Sapporo (Japan), under the guidance of Prof. Masahito Yamamoto. After graduation, he worked for two years as a JSPS research fellow at the same school.

From 2016, he also worked for one year as a visiting postdoctoral researcher at IRIDIA, Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in Brussels (Belgium). Under the collaboration with Prof. Marco Dorigo, he worked for the collective decision making strategies.
